Google Powermeter released
Google has done it again they have come up with a system that will allow people to track, their electricity usage in their own home.
The principle is simple, Google provides you with a simple device that can be set up over the mains power switch on your house. This device will send information back to Google, then online you will be able to see you exact power usage. Over time, from anywhere. So rather than if you check your usage every now and then this you would be able to see when the power is being used. Want to knwo how much money your losing over night or whilst you are at work this device can give you that data.
Personally the thing I think that is great about this device is it gives you a historical data of your usage. Now you have a way of telling if your impact on the environment is getting better or worse.
